Day1 Los Angeles – Solvang - Hearst Castle - San Francisco Depart from Los Angeles this morning and enjoy a scenic ride along the Pacific Coastline, passing through beautiful Santa Barbara, hometown of P. Ronald Reagan. Arrive at Solvang at noon; antiquated windmills and Northern Europeans-style architecture punctuate little Danish Village’s skyline. Brilliant sunshine, boundless open country and rolling hills- these are the characteristics of what the original Danish immigrants called “Solvang,” or “Sunny Field.” Pour yourself a cup of fresh brewed European coffee and nibble a piece of world famous Danish pastry. Afterwards, drive to San Simeon and pay a visit to ornate Hearst Castle which was built by the newspaper magnate, William R. Hearst. Hearst Castle contains priceless antiques and works of art as well as an ornate gilt-bordered swimming pool sets against Santa Lucia Mountains over looking Pacific. Visit the Palace of Fine Arts; The world famous Golden Gate Bridge; The world crookest street-Lombard street; and the first wharf of the world-Fishermen’s Wharf, and also can take a bay cruise (optional) to sail through the Golden Gate Bridge; Bay Bridge, pass the Alcatraz island; Angel Island and Treasure Island. Enjoy the view of east bay and the skyline of San Francisco. Around 3:00pm, you can spend time with your friends and relatives or you can join the advance city tour (optional) to see St. Mary cathedral-the principal catholic church of San Francisco; the Alamo Square; Twin Peaks; the Civic Center and Castrol District- the gay capital of the world.
